FINRA

FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) is the largest independent regulator for all securities firms doing business in the United States. They oversee nearly 4,560 brokerage firms, 163,335 branch offices and 631,305 registered securities representatives. Finra's chief role is to protect investors by maintaining the fairness of the U.S. capital markets.

SIPC
SIPC (Securities Investor Protection Corporation ) is an important part of the overall system of investor protection in the United States. While a number of federal, self-regulatory and state securities agencies deal with cases of investment fraud, SIPC's focus is both different and narrow: Restoring funds to investors with assets in the hands of bankrupt and otherwise financially troubled brokerage firms.

MSRB
The MSRB (Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board) maintains rules and operates market transparency systems to protect investors, issuers of municipal securities and entities whose credit stands behind municipal securities, and public pension plans.
